I’m over in Ireland at the moment visiting my mum and dad and was able to pop along to my Brother’s new band (Good The Bad and The Ugly) practice. As usual they brought the noise. I only have my Fuji X-E2 over with me (along with the 35mm f/1.4) but that didn’t stop me in getting some shots of the guys during their usual Tuesday night practice session.
The Fuji continues to blow me away with its low light performance, both in terms of noise and focus tracking. I think the 35mm (53mm equiv) is a great lens for band photography as it allows you to get up close and personal. Given the style of some of the songs they played I’ve gone for a bit of a moody look on the PP – all done with Silver FX Pro 2 with high structure pass and burnt edges.
Check them out on Twitter here. They can also be found playing at The Goats Toe over the coming months. Hope you enjoy. If you are in the area and enjoy live music then certainly worth checking them out.
